OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE.  As a company, they strive to build great client relationships based on trust to safeguard their customers' reputation. You will be involved in developing interesting and quality projects for existing and new clients. You will deliver eCommerce websites, microsites, software applications, CMS solutions, or whatever is needed on a wide variety of platforms. Some of the projects require maintenance, and some are new, but they use industry best practices to ensure they deliver robust and elegant products. You will be exposed to all sorts of projects, customers, and technologies and will encourage you to research and come up with solutions and technologies of your own. 
COMPANY.  They are a digital agency based in Devon. They have their own eCommerce platform and are looking to expand its portfolio of products. They know that the key to growth is in a high-performing development team. That is why they are seeking a skilled, eager and solid .Net Developer to join them, build new, maintain existing and deliver innovative solutions to problems. 
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS.  This is a full-time permanent post working in a flexible way. There is no doubt there is a generous flexible work pattern. You will work a 9 day fortnight (every other Friday off). Get Christmas off and your Birthday off and Unlimited Holidays (within reason). Salary will be £30,000 - £35,000 depending on skills and experience with a pension and cycle to work scheme. They also provide wellbeing and mental health support services, performance and salary/remuneration reviews annually. 
ABOUT YOU. You will need enthusiasm for collaborating with and helping others, have good attention to detail and be motivated, hard-working and able to take the initiative. You will be keen and eager to learn, able to work independently or as part of a team and be able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously. As you will interact with customers you will have excellent communication skills with good written and spoken English and be comfortable liaising with clients. The office is in Devon and you will be able to work in a hybrid manner and to attend the of ce as part of our exible working most weeks, with lots of remote working available.  
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.  In this role you will work on both new and legacy applications, sometimes building from scratch and sometimes doing support. You will be part of a cross-functional team with other engineers, designers, testers and managers. You will get the opportunity to work with engineers of all experience levels, with opportunities to learn and share learnings. Ideally, you will have all of the following:
  • Professional experience in working with .NET Framework or .NET Core, knowledge of relational databases and familiarity with an ORM (like Entity Framework).
  • A strong track record of building web applications/backend applications with basic frontend experience (html/CSS/js) and familiarity with at least one client-side library (jQuery).
  • The following technology skills would also be advantageous: Typescript, working on eCommerce products, architecting modern cloud solutions (Azure), modern frontend framework (Vue) and the toolchain that goes with it (gulp, webpack, npm), writing automated tests, Containers and DevOps.
