SQL Server / Azure Database Administrator.  (London and Remote) 
As an experienced SQL Server / Azure Database Administrator you will be leading the DBA technical support and providing oversight to the management of database systems on cloud platforms, ensuring the performance, security and operation of the databases. 
A new permanent position with a first class company based in London – with flexible remote working – you will be responsible for maintaining the SQL Server database infrastructure, associated services and ensuring security, availability, reliability of databases on the cloud in Azure.  You will manage performance of the day-to-day incident, request and problem management for database systems, ensuring the effective management, implementation of technical solutions and IT work packages. 
You will also be leading the technical recovery, disaster recovery and business continuity of the database environment and working with third party suppliers to ensure agreed SLAs and performance metrics are met.

Salary:           c£65,000 - £70,000 pa plus pension, generous holiday, insurance etc.
Start Date:     ASAP. 
Duration:        Permanent full-time post. 
As an experienced SQL Server / Azure Database Administrator you will have experience in working with databases in a complex cloud environment {Azure], with a hybrid infrastructure based on systems hosted on public cloud and internally, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud services.  You will need to have strong experience with SQL Server as a DBA and associated admin tools as well as migrating and running SQL Database workloads to Azure Public Cloud platforms, so you you will need to use your understanding of Azure Public Cloud Database Migrations, such as IaaS on Azure, PaaS on Azure. 
With solid understanding of SQL Server internals and best practices and a good understanding of other SQL and database related technology e.g. Middleware, Analysis Service, and Integration Services etc. you will also have SQL Database design, deployment and administration skills.
Any experience in Azure tools such as  Azure Backup and Site Recovery, Azure Monitor  Azure Arc,  Azure Sentinel or  Azure Policy etc would be a plus and any experience with Oracle Databases would be very welcome. 
Along with your technical skills, you will have strong communication skills, be comfortable and have experience in developing and managing relationships across IT and the business. Using your good time management and organisational skills you will manage simultaneously conflicting priorities, and have the ability to work methodically.
