Title: Azure Cloud Technical Lead / Architect
Location: Home Based (occasional travel to sites in London or South West when needed (c 10%).

Salary: c £80,000 - £90,000 +. And bonus pension generous leave insurance health etc.
You will join as an experienced Azure technical lead and architect to help drive the business to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the creation of data-driven products in the Internet of Things space. Collaborating closed with the various groups in the product development team, you will play a leading role in developing cloud-based applications that scale across multiple use cases, customers, and devices.
Within the cloud ecosystem, this role will focus on the creation and maintenance of Azure cloud services spanning message-oriented components, data storage and retrieval; interfacing and presentation to external entities such as 3rd party services and the client’s mobile applications. A key element of this role is to engage with DevSecOps specialists, 2nd line support and cloud service providers to ensure reliability mechanisms are in place.
As the Cloud Technical Lead / Architect you will be the scrum-master to the development team and provide architectural and code structure guidance to the development team. You will design and develop cloud-based, data-driven applications using microservice architectures, minimising complexity by careful analysis and software engineering principles.
You will produce clean code and simple but effective code architectures to maximise maintainability and apply a mixture of BDD, TDD and edge-case exploration to author automated tests and design/implement CI/CD in conjunction with DevOps specialists. You will take a lead role in the refinement and definition of user stories via ‘3 Amigoes’ style collaboration with product owners and testers and provide valuable input to the Agile Process and work with the SRE to build reliable services.
As a technical lead role developing data-driven micro-service and/or applications in Azure, you will be experienced with Agile/scrum-master who takes responsibility for and proactively drives work packages to completion. You will have experience with the Microsoft stack/.Net Core and code quality practices. Plus best-practice test automation including the use of TDD.
You will have a customer-focused professional attitude with good interpersonal skills, so you will be a collaborative team player, happy working as part of a project team, comfortable engaging proactively with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. When needed you will be a robust, resilient and tenacious individual who remains objective and delivers focussed when dealing with change, uncertainty and ambiguity.
Any experience in Microsoft Azure development using C# to create message-oriented and micro-services architectures, Front-end web development, data-driven applications and DevSecOps would be a plus.
